What you will do

As the Motor Carrier and Motor Fuel Supervisor you will have the opportunity to:
  • develop and lead a team of motivated individuals to meet the goals of the section and the division as a whole;
  • work with different federal and international organizations and plans, including the International Registration Plan, the International Fuel Tax Agreement, Uniform Carrier Registration, and the Heavy Vehicle Use Tax;
  • oversee the collection of motor fuel taxes;
  • oversee systems and analyze data for data driven decision making;
  • be a liaison for the division with its constituents and partners; and
  • work to continuously innovate and improve the divisions processes and systems.

What you need

The ideal candidate will have:
  • prior experience working in collaborative team environments and demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills;
  • high attention to detail;
  • effective verbal and written communication abilities including spelling, punctuation, and grammar;
  • advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • ability to interpret information, laws, and policies;
  • project management skills for short and long term projects;
  • prioritize, organize, and direct the work of others and
  • ability to effectively analyze and convey data and information, both within the Department of Revenue and to outside parties.

This is a full-time position with the Department of Revenue - Motor Vehicle Division.
