What you will do As the
Motor Carrier and Motor Fuel Supervisor you will have the opportunity to:
- develop and lead a team of motivated individuals to meet the goals of the section and the division as a whole;
- work with different federal and international organizations and plans, including the International Registration Plan, the International Fuel Tax Agreement, Uniform Carrier Registration, and the Heavy Vehicle Use Tax;
- oversee the collection of motor fuel taxes;
- oversee systems and analyze data for data driven decision making;
- be a liaison for the division with its constituents and partners; and
- work to continuously innovate and improve the divisions processes and systems.
What you need The ideal candidate will have:
- prior experience working in collaborative team environments and demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills;
- high attention to detail;
- effective verbal and written communication abilities including spelling, punctuation, and grammar;
- advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
- ability to interpret information, laws, and policies;
- project management skills for short and long term projects;
- prioritize, organize, and direct the work of others and
- ability to effectively analyze and convey data and information, both within the Department of Revenue and to outside parties.
