This position requires a high level of experience in leading outdoor educational programs, specifically hunting, fishing, trapping and shooting sports. The position requires working with individuals of all ages and experience levels. Volunteers and interns are available to support this position so working alongside those individuals and providing direction is necessary. The position will be responsible for all logistics of creating and leading community and group hunting, fishing, trapping and shooting sports programming at the Outdoor Campus.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Valid driver's license. B.S. or B.A. in education, communication, counseling, biology, business, consumer affairs, natural resource/conservation management, environmental science, or similar degree is preferred.

Knowledge of:
  • R3 as it relates to hunting and fishing;
  • high knowledge of hunting, fishing, trapping, shooting sports and outdoor recreational activities.

Skill to:
  • teach program participants at all levels (beginners to experts) how to hunt, fish, trap and shoot;
  • highly organized with strong communication skills. Public speaking skills necessary.

Ability to:
  • participate as a team-player within the campus staff, interns, volunteers and other members of the Game, Fish and Parks staff;
  • be flexible with schedule to meet needs of Campus programming;
  • stay calm under pressure, be outdoing, efficient and confident in correspondence and communication with a diverse audience.
