Job Description

The Nurse Supervisor serves as a working leader responsible for both direct patient care and daily supervision of clinical staff within assigned orthopedic service areas. This role supports the Director of Clinical Operations in coordinating clinical workflows, ensuring safe and efficient patient care, and fostering a supportive, high-performing team culture. The Nurse Supervisor leads by example, demonstrating professionalism, clinical excellence, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leadership & Staff Support: Provide daily on-site leadership and serve as a resource for clinical staff, including RN's, LPN's CMA's and Clinical Assistants. Collaborate with other leadership and multidisciplinary teams

  • Clinical Operations & Workflow Oversight: Ensure consistent adherence to established clinical protocols and best practices

  • Quality, Compliance & Safety: Uphold all regulatory and organizational standards including HIPAA, OSHA and infection control

  • Education & Training: Assist with onboarding, orientation, and competency assessment for new clinical team members

  • Direct Patient Care: Deliver direct orthopedic patient care within scope of licensure

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current active clinical license (RN or LPN in good standing)
  • Minimum of 2 years of orthopedic or ambulatory clinical experience
  • Prior team leader or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to maintaining high clinical and patient-care standards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical operations and documentation standards.
  • Proficiency with EMR and scheduling systems; experience with Paylocity or similar platforms a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff; strong delegation, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, process improvement, and audit skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships across departments.
