Job Description

We are a regional excavation construction company that performs site preparation, utility work, and demolition. We are seeking an Office Admin/Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with administrative functions in a construction office environment, be personable, organized and detail-oriented. This position is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (no weekends) and benefits to include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, short term disability insurance, accident insurance, paid holidays, PTO, and 401k.

Job Duties
• Front desk and reception duties for a low-traffic, low call volume office.
• General administrative duties including communication with employees, customers, and vendors, filing, organize/mail/collect construction contracts, job folder preparation, etc.
• Assist with timecard data entry.
• Assist with accounts payable function including matching of vendor invoices, reconciliation of monthly vendor statements, and data entry.
• Assist with accounts receivable function including maintenance of customer billing records and preparation of invoices.

. Assist with Human Resource duties as assigned.

• Other office duties as needed.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Highly motivated with strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• High comfort level with technology, including MS Office products.
• Experience in an accounting/office function. Construction industry a plus.
