Position Overview:Children’s Home Society of South Dakota is seeking an
Outpatient Therapist that provides high-quality, trauma-informed mental health services to children, families, and individuals engaged in Children’s Home Society (CHS) therapeutic programs. This role primarily serves clients within the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic while supporting continuity of care across additional CHS service lines as needed. - Clinical Supervision: Clinical Supervision for licensure is included as part of the role as long as they are supervised by our internal Clinical Director.

What You'll Do: Your responsibilities as a Full-time Therapist would include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver therapy that meets client needs both in the outpatient mental health clinic and in other CHS service lines as needed.
- Collaborate with families to create a supportive environment conducive to healing and positive change.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
- Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with community resources and referral agencies.
- Participate in clinical supervision and peer consultation to enhance professional development and ensure best practices.
- Stay informed about current trends and research in trauma-informed care and mental health practices.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and trauma-informed care principles.

Requirements
Education:- Must have obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Licensure: - Current South Dakota license as a CSW, LPC, or LMFT licensure required.
- Must be, or have the ability to be, certified as Adoption Competent.
- QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) certification or the ability to obtain is required.
- South Dakota advanced licensure, including CSW-PIP, LPC-MH, or LMFT preferred.
Experience: - Two years’ experience in children and/or family programs preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:Normal office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, etc. Extended PC viewing and keyboarding required. Extended periods of sedentary work required. Client home visits may be required.
