Job Description
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Our Outside Sales Representatives service and expand Dakota Auto Parts Preferred Customer Accounts; Auto Repair, Fleet Management, Auto Dealerships and more. The Outside Sales Rep knows auto parts, basic automotive repair, basic computer skills and relationship building experience. This Rep is a self-motivated, customer representative providing and promoting our entire product line and services to expand their business and ours for new and existing customers
JOB DUTIES:
- Grow Dakota Auto parts new business as well as maintain current accounts.
- Identify issues and provide customers solutions using technical knowledge and innovative thinking.
- Manage and replenish customer shop stocking products.
- Work with manufacturers and Federated Auto Parts to improve program offerings, parts performance, grow customer product lines and individual parts knowledge.
- Maintain customer satisfaction. Provide strong customer service including solving customer problems, complaints and questions in person or by email, text, telephone.
- Multitask on multiple projects at once.
- Achieve productivity and sales goals.
- Attend product training, trade shows and seminars if available.
- Work a Saturday 8:00-3:00 as a Parts Technician every 4th week on a rotating schedule with a day off during the prior week.
- Be a positive teammate with Parts Technicians ensuring efficient customer care.
- Other duties assigned by Management
- Must have a clean driving record as this position is afforded a company car.
- Must be proficient with computer Microsoft systems. (word, excel, outlook)
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Four years automotive parts and/or autobody experience. Ability to work well under pressure individually and on a team. Must be energetic, optimistic, goal oriented and dedicated to excellence. This position requires all Counter Automotive Sales / “Parts Technician” knowledge. Exceptional customer service, strong communication skills.
