Outside Sales Representative
Sioux Falls, SD area (must live within 1 hour)
Full-Time | Exempt | Flexible Schedule
Base Salary: $65,000 (Depending on Experience) + Commission
At Cota Coaching & Consulting, we’re proud to be partnering with Myer-Hall Machine Works—a growing engineering firm that designs and builds custom automation systems to help other companies run more efficiently. They’re looking for a driven Outside Sales Representative who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and grow with them.
This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a small, dynamic company where your contributions will have a direct impact. You’ll play a key role in building the sales function while selling powerful, custom-built solutions to manufacturers and industrial clients.

What You’ll Do
Prospect new business through cold calling, networking, and referrals
Manage and grow existing accounts with stellar service and communication
Learn the ins and outs of custom automation and communicate that value to clients
Develop tailored proposals, negotiate pricing, and close deals
Use tools like Excel and Monday.com to manage your pipeline
Travel within the region (up to 30%) for site visits and client meetings
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure smooth project execution
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of B2B sales experience (industrial or manufacturing is a huge plus)
Strong relationship-builder who thrives in independent roles
Comfortable with cold outreach and eager to chase new leads
Experience with CRMs or sales tracking tools
High school diploma or GED required
Must live within 1 hour of Sioux Falls, SD
