Job Description
Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) security department is recruiting for an overnight position which will perform custodial and security-related duties. The position will work cooperatively with the security team at the CORE Crisis Center, as well as the LCBHS maintenance department.
Employment Status: Full Time
Shift Rotation Options: Overnight 10:30pm-7:00am
Essential Functions:
- Custodial duties:
- Ensure common areas, meeting rooms/workspaces, and storage spaces are clean and safe.
- Remove trash, snow, or debris from walkways and parking areas.
- Monitor and stock maintenance and cleaning supplies.
- Clean floors (vacuum, auto-scrub, etc.).
- Clean and stock bathrooms.
- Monitor and stock unit cleaning supply inventory.
- Empty trash.
- Other custodial duties as assigned.
- As issues arise, troubleshoot building facilities systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, generators, boilers, fire alarm systems, etc.), and report outstanding maintenance issues to facilities/maintenance management.
- Other duties as assigned by the maintenance leadership team.
- Building and grounds safety duties:
- Report safety and/or fire hazards or security violations to the security officer on duty.
- Secure and/or unlock offices and facilities as required.
- Monitor facility premises via rounding and camera for safety.
- Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers and AED’s throughout the facility.
- Other duties as assigned by the security leadership team.
Required Licensure / Certification and Experience / Abilities:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Able to lift 75+ pounds and climb stairs.
- Able to complete minor maintenance work.
- Sensitive to special needs of the clients; and ability to recognize, and work with cultural and ethnic differences.
- Able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Able to plan and organize time effectively.
- Able to safely operate passenger vans and non-passenger vehicles.
- Able to follow directives of supervisors.
