Job Description
OBJECTIVE: Safely deliver animal health products to farmers across the United States utilizing a company delivery van to reach planned destination. Ensuring accurate, timely and bio-secure delivery to customer location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)
- Ability to safely drive tractor/trailer with air brakes to deliver products
- Understand and adhere to bio-security rules and requirements
- Comfortable with scheduled overnight delivery routes. Home on weekends.
- Providing excellent customer service on product delivery routes
- Loading and unloading trailers as needed
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Forklift operation
- Inventory counts and controls
- Attend meetings as needed
- Maintain overstock warehouse
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma/GED preferred, not required.
Experience:
Delivery of supplies, packages, or related experience
Must have clean driving history with no major violations or license suspensions and valid driver's license
Work Environment:
High paced, high-energy atmosphere.
Forklift, pallet jacks and other machines/equipment that may be loud
Friendly atmosphere with great team unity
Physical Requirements:
Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day
Frequent bending, reaching, squatting and kneeling
Frequent use of one or both hands/arms to grasp or pull
Frequent lifting of objects weighing 0-50 pounds
Occasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, or requiring up to 50 pounds of force to move
Occasional bending while pulling and/or lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds or requiring up to 100 pounds of force to move with the assistance of another person as needed
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to attend and participate in meetings of various lengths
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to work as needed to complete job (night/weekend/etc.)
