Paint Undercoater

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Undercoater to join our paint team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying undercoats, and ensuring that our truck bodies are ready for final finishing. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for undercoating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed.
• Apply undercoat materials evenly and efficiently to ensure optimal adhesion and finish.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paint undercoater or similar role in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Abilities:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and bend, twist, and kneel as required.
• Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment effectively.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including areas with exposure to paint fumes and chemicals.
