Job Description

Creative Surfaces Inc; a National manufacturing company of custom store fixtures, signage, and countertops for retail, automotive, and casino industry with manufacturing facilities in Sioux Falls, SD and Rapid City, SD is seeking a Panel Line Operator to work in our Commercial Cabinet Division in Sioux Falls, SD.

Panel Line Operator sets up and operates a panel laminating press. Creative Surfaces Inc offers competitive hourly wage, paid time off, Insurance and 401k.

Requirements to include:

  1. Set up and operate a panel laminating press

  2. Read and analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs

  3. Check in materials: ensuring the proper material was received based on purchase order and production demand.

  4. Put in purchase request for raw materials needed to ensure seamless flow in production

  5. Determine needs in production flow and request assistance as demand becomes high

  6. Clean, maintain and service machines as required on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis while requesting outside support as needed

  7. Manage and assist safe packaging of completed products, ensuring documentation paperwork is completed, notifying Management of any missing or non-conforming parts.

  8. Reproducing non-conforming parts to ensure final delivery dates are met.

  9. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations to maintain a safe working environment

  10. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The role of Panel Line Operator is physically demanding and requires candidates to meet the following bona fide requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Frequently required to walk, walk upstairs, push, pull or crawl use hands to handle or feel, and reach with arms
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Capability to work in various physical positions, including sitting, standing, bending, crouching, and working at heights.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Interacts with other employees
  • Manual dexterity required to operate computer and peripherals
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with an attitude of ultimate accountability;
  • Experience running and maintaining a panel press

  • Casework industry experience preferred;
