Job Title: Part-Time Facilities Assistant
Position Summary
The facilities assistant supports the facilities manager with the maintenance of the building,
parking lot, and yard at First Congregational Church. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills are required along with the ability to provide customer service in a
prompt and professional manner. He/she must also be able to work independently while
balancing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications
• No restrictions with bending and lifting
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed
• Have housekeeping experience
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Strong work ethic and reliability
Supervision
The facilities assistant will work under the supervision of the facilities manager, the pastor, and
the Personnel Committee.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities may include
• Communicating with the facilities manager, pastor, and church staff
• Reporting the need for maintenance and repairs
• Cleaning restrooms
• Cleaning classrooms
• Cleaning the sanctuary
• Cleaning common areas
• Washing floors
• Washing windows
• Deep cleaning and sanitizing areas of need
• Assisting the facilities manager, pastor, church staff, and volunteers set up for events.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities manager, pastor, and church staff.

Hours and Compensation
• Estimated Hours
? 4 hours per week.
? The facilities assistant’s work schedule will be arranged with the facilities manager.
? The position will have flexible hours to allow coordination with church and other events.
Compensation:
? The facilities assistant position is an hourly position and paid semi-monthly on the 15th
and the last day of the month.
? The facilities assistant position has an hourly rate of $15.50 to $18.50, depending on
experience.
