Job Description

The City of Sioux Falls, Siouxland Libraries, is accepting applications for Part-Time Library Support to work primarily at the Brandon, Valley Springs, and Baltic Branches, and an additional Part-Time Library Support position to work primarily at the Oak View Branch. Two positions are available.

Schedule: weekend and evening rotation, 5 –12 hours per week.

Siouxland Libraries is seeking passionate and service-oriented individuals to join our team as Library Support Staff at the Brandon Community Library, Valley Springs and Baltic Branches, as well as the Oak View Branch. Staff may also be assigned to work at other Siouxland Libraries branches as needed.

This role is all about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every guest feels valued. As part of our team, you will engage with a diverse community, provide exceptional customer service, and help guests navigate library resources with warmth and professionalism.

We are looking for team players who thrive in a collaborative setting and take pride in fostering a culture of learning, connection, and hospitality. Strong communication and computer skills are essential, as well as the ability to assist with the physical aspects of library operations, including lifting and moving materials (30-50 lbs.), pushing book carts, and remaining active throughout your shift.
