$20.06 hourly

Job Summary: The City of Sioux Falls Public Works Department, Engineering Division is accepting applications for a Part Time Traffic Counting Technician. Duties may include but are not limited to, collecting traffic data using pneumatic tube counters, collecting turning movement counts using video-based equipment, field setup and retrieval of traffic counting equipment, and extraction and analysis of the raw data generated.

Applicants with relevant education and/or experience are desired. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), have the ability to learn other basic software programs, and be proficient in the use of basic hand tools.

Schedule: This is a part-time, non-benefitted position involving up to 28 hours per week with flexible start times. A Monday through Thursday weekly schedule is typical and strongly preferred.
