We are seeking a Full-Time Parts Clerk for our Parts & Service Department in our Sioux Falls' location.
Daytime hours - Monday through Friday with a rotating Saturday morning schedule.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions include:
- Develop a general understanding of the construction materials, tools, and equipment available in the store.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner and assist customers with product inquiries.
- Refer to parts manuals online to identify the right part(s) for the make, model and year of product being services.
- Locate products, check inventory availability, and provide recommendations based on customer needs.
- Accurately process sales transactions using the store's point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods efficiently.
- Track incoming and outgoing parts and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Package and ship parts back to manufacturer as needed and keep accurate records.
- Receive, inspect and organize incoming merchandise. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock replenishment is needed.
- Assist in keeping parts department, work area and store clean and organized. Monitor and report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Perform other duties, projects and tasks required/directed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Previous customer service or parts experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with construction tools and equipment is beneficial.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Needed:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills for operating the point-of-sale system and accessing product information online.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work rotating Saturday schedule (as applicable to the store location).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical stamina for loading/unloading products as needed.
