We are looking for a talented Parts Expeditor to compile and maintain material and parts inventory along with status update information to expedite movement of material and parts between productions areas.

What You'll Do (Including but not limited to)

  • Locate and distribute materials including: housing, motor drives, shaft, props, belt guard, motor cover, curve base and any other parts.
  • Distribute materials by operating forklift, bridge crane and/or pallet jack.
  • Verify that all the correct parts were used and that the fan is built correctly. This includes taking measurements.
  • Pending plant location, log shop orders into computer and check to ensure that all material and parts are available.
  • Pending plant location, understand production schedule and organize work to prioritize completion of urgent orders.

  • Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.

Must Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English. Ability to read shop orders and understand production schedule.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers in a productive manner.
  • Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to use measuring instruments and read graphs.
  • Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner.

  • Forklift Certificate
  • Bridge Crane Training
  • Fall Protection Training

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:
  • Continuously lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist; and work in limited space.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
