Greet patients, family members, and visitors in a courteous, calm, and professional manner
Complete accurate and efficient patient registration and check-in, including collecting demographic, insurance, and related information
Verify insurance eligibility and explain basic registration and financial requirements to patients
Collect copays, deposits, and other patient payments, and reconcile collections daily
Communicate with clinical staff to support smooth patient flow and provide wait-time updates
Manage multiple priorities — phones, walk-ins, and administrative tasks — while maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude
Protect patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policy
Rotate between assigned work areas and clinic locations as needed
High school diploma or equivalent required
One year or more of customer service experience required; physician office or healthcare front-desk experience preferred
Prior experience with registration, scheduling, insurance verification, or point-of-service collections in a healthcare setting is a plus
Comfortable using computers, phones, and standard office equipment (fax, copier, scanner, credit card terminal)
Ability to learn and accurately use electronic medical records and practice management systems
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills with close attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to stay composed, patient, and professional in a busy, high-volume clinic setting
