Job Summary: Hauge Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payment Processing Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing payments, resolving any discrepancies, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming payments from clients and customers through various payment methods, including checks, credit cards, and electronic transfers
- Review and verify the accuracy of payment information, ensuring all payments are allocated correctly
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with payments in a timely manner
- Communicate with clients and customers to provide support and answer any payment-related inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payment records and documentation
- Assist with other financial tasks and projects as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in payment processing, accounts receivable, or a related financial role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
