REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES
The Tier 3 Implementation Specialist will provide proactive, targeted interventions and support designed to meet the unique academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and attendance needs of Garfield students. A key responsibility of this role will be providing push-in support and Check & Connect services for students identified as benefiting from increased adult connection, monitoring, encouragement, and problem-solving support. Through consistent relationship-building, regular check-ins, and collaboration with classroom teachers and families, the specialist will work to increase student engagement, attendance, and overall school success.
In addition to direct student support, the Tier 3 Implementation Specialist will equip staff with the knowledge, strategies, and resources needed to effectively respond to and manage challenging behaviors while fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. The specialist will collaborate with teachers, support staff, administrators, and families to identify student needs early and implement interventions before concerns escalate.
The Tier 3 Implementation Specialist will play a pivotal role in Garfield's efforts to create a positive and supportive school culture through the implementation of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, with a specific focus on Tier 3 interventions. This position will lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of individualized behavioral, social-emotional, and attendance supports for students requiring intensive intervention. Through data-based decision making, relationship-centered practices, and collaboration with school teams, the specialist will help ensure the overall well-being, engagement, and academic achievement of Garfield students.
Please note, this position is funded through a grant for up to two years. Employment may end following the grant funding.
PAY INFORMATION
Level KX, starting at $23.62 per hour - click HERE to view the salary schedule.
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTE
Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch
1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 9 months
