About the Role
Provide PREMIER customer service to all bank customers and assist the Branch with sales and servicing activities. Work closely with customers to determine their banking needs and provide individualized service and financial banking solutions through a variety of products.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Execute PREMIER customer service by greeting all customers promptly, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding the features and benefits of First PREMIER Bank's products and services.
- Process customer and commercial requests for account opening/closures including Checking, Certificate of Deposits, Savings, Money Market, and IRA accounts; Maintain customer accounts, addresses, and etc.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the deposit and loan account platforms and all other applications within the core system.
- Meet established annual goals for checking and loan products as assigned, keeping personal and branch objectives in mind.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of consumer loan underwriting, including real estate and credit policy procedure with an approval authority up to $25,000 and maintains a working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collections Privacy Act to successfully manage accounts.
- Establish a successful referral network to grow new customers and identify opportunities to expand existing relationships through direct customer contact and outbound sales calls.
- Participate in call program activities and be visible in community events creating brand awareness.
- Complete teller duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Express ideas, request action, and formulate plans by means of clear and effective verbal communications to respond to customers and/or organizational needs.
- Understand and effectively use standard office equipment and software packages to support business processes.
- Work at an intermediate level to recognize sales opportunities during service interactions to enhance overall customer service.
- Conduct oneself in a manner that promotes trust in the individual and the organization.
- Cooperatively interact with co-workers to promote an effective and productive work unit.
- Effectively manage time to ensure prompt completion of tasks and duties.
- Work with full competence to analyze and manage accounts to the mutual benefit to the customer and organization.
- Ability to maintain a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service and/or banking experience is required.
- Basic computer skills, cash handling, and/or sales experience is preferred.
