Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Phlebotomist responsible for room and assessing patients for our Hruby Family Medicine and Urgent Care Clinics. Phlebotomists deliver comprehensive patient care by collecting blood and urine samples, performing lab tests, and ensuring accurate patient identification and communication. Additionally, administrative tasks such as documenting patient records, managing inventory, and participating in quality improvement initiatives are integral to the position. Successful Phlebotomists perform effectively in emergency situations, apply their knowledge of patient medical records and infection control policies and procedures, critical thinking skills, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Shifts: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday. 8:00AM-4:30PM.
This position is located at 7600 South Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy program preferred.
- Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred.
- Clinical experience is preferred.
- BLS certification is required; can be obtained upon hire.
