The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) has a perfect opportunity for you as a Region Business Manager
! Job Description: The Pierre Region Business Manager maintains administrative budgetary services for the Pierre Region. This includes coordination of the annual budget, monitoring and reconciliation of the state's accounting system, reviewing and approving expenditures, acting as a purchasing agent, and overseeing the capital asset inventory system to ensure compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.
This challenging position provides accurate budget information for DOT managers and reviews and manages purchases necessary to carry out the construction, maintenance, and equipment repair services in central South Dakota.
This position works in a typical office environment. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
This position has an option to be remote.

Duties and Responsibilities: This position develops and maintains the annual budget to ensure it meets the needs of the Pierre Region. This includes monitoring and reconciliation with the state's accounting system, reviewing and approving expenditures, identifying future needs and projecting future budget needs based on complex factors, acting as a purchasing agent, and overseeing the capital asset inventory system.

Position Requirements: A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Accounting, or a related field is preferred. Experience managing a budget in a professional setting will also be considered in lieu of a degree.
Compensation:
The total compensation of Hourly Wage + State/Federal Benefits for a typical year for entry level Region Business Manager is approximately $81,731.00 annually.
