$600 Sign-On Bonus Available!

HOURS: Onsite, Full-time, 40hours, Monday- Friday; occasional evenings and weekends.

SALARY Exempt w/OT: $47,000 - $53,000 Dependent on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Placement Coordinator will work collaboratively with OLA, CPS, and the Kinship and Foster Care Licensing team to facilitate the placement process. The Placement Coordinator will be available during business hours as the contact for support in finding placement for children. Their primary goal is to identify and connect resource families to meet the needs of South Dakota’s children and families. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong commitment to helping others. The Placement Coordinator plays a critical role in carrying out the LSS mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or similar field, plus one to two years of related experience in a human services field, is required.
  • Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Social Worker Associate through the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one with approved driver status.
