Job Description
General Description: This Maintenance Technician role involves performing essential maintenance services across the plant, warehouse, and the general facilities. The technician will coordinate with plant staff to implement preventative maintenance schedules and arrange vendor services for annual shutdowns. Additionally, they will ensure that all safety protocols and quality standards are consistently followed and maintained.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Solving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic issues on plant equipment and facilities.
Performs equipment preventative maintenance so that equipment/facilities are kept in good working order.
Reading, analyzing and interpreting technical procedures, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance work correctly and efficiently.
Observes, recognizes, and follows all safety procedures.
Assists in keeping facilities neat and clean on a daily basis.
Organization of shop including tools and parts room.
Communicate with Manager on ordering of replacement parts and maintaining inventory of regular parts needed.
Handles equipment in a manner that avoids unnecessary damage or accidents.
Works as a team, able to take direction and learn from others.
Uses CMMS to log all performed maintenance work.
Maintain working knowledge and ability to perform all tasks required of personnel
Follow all company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience with safety and regulatory certifications, including OSHA standards for equipment maintenance.
General knowledge of milling equipment and good manufacturing practices
Familiar and trained with PPE and LOTO protocols.
Manufacturing computer software
Experienced with Maintenance shop equipment and power tools.
Welding skills a plus, preferred but not required.
Work Requirements:
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
Required to work at various heights, use ladders safely and will climb stairs for higher maintenance projects.
Employee will be required to work during all weather conditions when it is safe and during all business hours including weekends if necessary.
Position may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles and moderate noise levels.
May be required to pass pre-employment physical as position requires bending, stooping, standing for hours, pulling, and lifting up to 50lbs. List not all inclusive.
