What you will do The
Policy/Data Analyst will be responsible for documenting and maintaining motor vehicle policies and procedures along with assisting on all data systems used in the division. The position will review and update our internal processes, procedures manual and make recommendations for new policies. The position will work as part of a team to achieve optimal solutions and efficiencies by making recommendations on improvements to data systems and working with programmers and other staff to develop and implement testing of system changes. The position is also responsible for creating internal and external newsletters to our stakeholders. The position keeps division forms current and updated to the division/department's website. The position will be involved in training programs for all of our customers, including county treasurers, dealerships and internal staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - A bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or data systems is preferred OR equivalent work experience.
- Capability of overseeing the implementation of all new and revised policies and procedures.
What you need - experience working in collaborative team environments and demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills;
- high attention to detail;
- verbal and written communication abilities including spelling, punctuation, and grammar;
- advanced use of the Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
- ability to interpret information, laws, and policies and communicate effectively;
- equally important will be a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, discretion, confidentiality, and a positive attitude;
- computer, software and data systems knowledge;
- ability to problem solve to reach optimal solutions and efficiencies;
- capability to implement changes to existing systems or new systems, procedures or organizational changes.
Knowledge of: - data analysis techniques;
- research or survey methodology.
Skill to: - publish reports for use by leadership of the division;
- maintain accurate information on the Department of Revenue's website;
- data system testing and maintenance.
Ability to: - provide training, presentations and technical advice to county treasurer office personnel on database systems utilized by the of Motor Vehicle Division;
- prepare study outlines, PowerPoint presentations and proposals;
- identify and recommend proactive measures and enhancements to the data systems utilized by motor vehicles;
- conduct special projects and present unbiased data based solely on statistical information.
