POSITION SUMMARY

The Presales Operations Coordinator will support and streamline our quoting and presales processes. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate content in our Quote Writer system, reviewing and validating quotes, and collaborating cross-functionally to improve presales efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. Create and manage option numbers, part numbers, and content within Quote Writer.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost structures in the quoting system.
  3. Review presales quotes for content accuracy, pricing validation, and completeness.
  4. Generate standard and special pricing requests based on project needs.
  5. Write clear specification descriptions and build out quote package options.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure quoting consistency.
  7. Partner with scrub teams to identify and address recurring process issues.
  8. Review and support project coordinators to ensure alignment with quoting standards.
  9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field preferred.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Experience working in MS Office Suite required.
  • 5+ years experience working in a sales/sales support role required.

Skills:

Language:

  • Able to find, read, and interpret relevant business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Able to write reports and business correspondence in a professional manner.
  • Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions and communicate new information that could affect project trajectories.

Math:

  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

Computer:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, especially related to formulas and equations related to sales.
  • Able to perform intermediate PC functions in Microsoft Office Suite and Quote Writer.

Abilities:

  • Able to deal with problems involving a variety of variables in non-standard situations.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to read and understand specs.
  • Able to work professionally with customers/dealerships and internal customers to accomplish common goals.
  • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.
  • Ability to obtain a notary.
