Job Description
A Catcher iis a production worker that neatly catches, jogs and stacks cartons on the end process of a printing press as well as visually checks carton quality as the press is running. Cathers may assist the press operator if needed. Must be able to work 12-hr rotating shift schedule. Previous manufacturing experience beneficial.
DUTIES:
Correctly jog and stack cartonns from the press
Monitor print and quality of the cartons, communicate with press operators regarding the quality
Assist crews during make ready and press down time
Maintain clean and organized work area
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must be able to read and understand English, have basic math skills
Must be able to keep up with machine speeds, consistently lifting 5-25 lbs, possibly up to 50 lbs. on a 12 hr shift.
Ability to stand for 12 hours
Tolerate repetitious work
Cannot be colorblind
