Preventative Maintenance & Facilities Technician | Shift 1 | Full-Time

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Preventative Maintenance & Facilities Technician, you’ll play a critical role in supporting production readiness by maintaining equipment cleanliness, organization, and preventative maintenance throughout ESI’s manufacturing environment.

This role works directly on the production floor to help ensure equipment is clean, operational, and ready to support efficient, high-quality production.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and related accessories
  • Clean and maintain SMT equipment, conveyors, reflow ovens, wave solder equipment, production PCs, ventilation systems, and tooling
  • Vacuum loose components and debris from machines and feeder bases
  • Assist with feeder repairs and calibrations to support production uptime
  • Drain and clean tanks, replace filters, and maintain batch wash systems
  • Swap ultrasonic cleaning solutions and monitor system effectiveness
  • Review equipment manuals and help coordinate maintenance intervals and downtime schedules
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining a preventative maintenance ticketing system
  • Operate a power floor scrubber and maintain overall production floor cleanliness
  • Empty trash and dispose of cardboard on the production floor daily
  • Clean workstations, benches, machines, programmers, testers, and production areas
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness
  • Support a clean, safe, organized, and professional manufacturing environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable attendance and consistent performance
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
  • Strong organizational habits and proactive mindset
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support production operations

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
  • Repetitive arm and hand movements throughout the shift
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work around active manufacturing equipment and in tight spaces
  • Climate-controlled manufacturing environment
  • Must follow all PPE requirements per ESI Safety Policy and OSHA standards
