Prevention and Community Training Coordinator

The Prevention & Community Training Coordinator supports Call to Freedom’s mission by leading prevention education, community outreach, and professional training initiatives focused on human trafficking awareness and response. This position serves as a key community liaison, building partnerships and delivering impactful training to schools, youth-serving organizations, healthcare providers, law enforcement, faith communities, and other community stakeholders throughout Sioux Falls and surrounding communities. The ideal candidate is an engaging communicator, skilled presenter, and relationship-builder who is passionate about prevention, education, and creating lasting community impact.
Call to Freedom is seeking a passionate, organized, and dynamic professional to coordinate and facilitate community education and prevention efforts throughout Sioux Falls and the surrounding area. This position plays a critical role in raising awareness about human trafficking, strengthening community partnerships, and delivering meaningful training programs that help protect vulnerable youth and adults.
This role requires flexibility, as evening and occasional weekend trainings, presentations, and community events are regularly scheduled throughout the year.
Coordinate and facilitate community education and training programs on human trafficking prevention and awareness.
Develop and manage training schedules, logistics, participant communication, training materials, and evaluation processes.
Deliver presentations and professional trainings to schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, law enforcement, social service agencies, faith-based organizations, and other audiences.
Build and maintain strong partnerships with community stakeholders throughout Sioux Falls and surrounding communities.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop educational materials, prevention messaging, and awareness resources.
Track training outcomes and maintain accurate records and reports.
Stay informed on emerging trafficking trends, trauma-informed practices, and best practices in prevention and intervention.
Represent Call to Freedom at community events, collaborative meetings, and professional engagements.
Support youth prevention efforts and coordinated community responses for youth impacted by trafficking and exploitation.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field.
Experience working with victims of violence, trafficking, trauma, and/or substance abuse is preferred.
Knowledge of South Dakota child welfare processes and related systems is highly beneficial.
Training in trauma-informed care is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong public speaking, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance, or ability to obtain and maintain both.
Full-time, 40 hours per week.
Typical office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Evening and weekend trainings, events, and community commitments are regularly required based on program needs.
Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
