We want YOU here! The Sioux Falls School District was awarded a grant through the SD Opioid Settlement Funds. The Grant Coordinator of the \"CARE\" Program - Counseling, Awareness, Recovery, and Education will provide direct support to the three CARE Counselors hired in collaboration with the Sioux Falls School District and Avera Family Wellness. The CARE Program provides prevention education, early intervention, and student support services focused on promoting healthy choices, social-emotional wellness, and drug- and alcohol-free lifestyles among students K-12. The Grant Coordinator will collaborate with students, families, staff, and Avera Family Wellness to provide support services, while overseeing the requirements of the Grant.
REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION LEVEL:High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:Preference will be given to applicants with prior clerical and/or grant management experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position requires constant hand-eye and mind-eye coordination, hearing, intermittent grasping, keyboarding, scheduling, sitting, speaking, writing, standing, stooping, and reaching are required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Demonstrated proficiency with computer input, word processing, database, and spreadsheets. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional ethics. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and cultures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES - Supports the Prevention Counselors in the intake process and enrollment of new students.
- Completes data entry related to student information and grant requirements.
- Responsible for conducting pre-authorization for insurance and billing through Avera Family Wellness.
- Assist in scheduling students for both SFSD and Avera Prevention Counselors through Avera's Epic Patient database.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with both Avera and SFSD policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate referrals from school administration and counseling staff for services.
- Assists in maintaining financial records.
- Prepares monthly reports related to grant program outcomes.
- Assists in the planning and coordination of family events.
- Provides excellent customer service and assistance to students and families through walk-in, telephone, and email communication.
PAY INFORMATION$45,000
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
