Product Engineer

Job Description

Fair Manufacturing Inc., an agricultural and industrial OEM located in Yankton, SD, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Product Engineer to join our team. This position will encompass all aspects of the engineering program and product life cycle: design, development, analysis, and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong interpersonal skills and technical knowledge of agricultural industry.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Product Design and Development: work with team to design and develop new products from conception to completion including specifications, schematics, prototypes, manufacturing instructions, user manuals and guides where appropriate, and project records and documentation.

• Engineering Analysis: conduct engineering analyses to assess the feasibility, performance, and reliability of products. Test to validate designs.

• Documentation: record and maintain product documentation throughout the product life cycle.

• Hands-on approach: willingness to engage in field testing and troubleshooting.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• 5 years of experience in engineering in the agricultural or heavy equipment industry, or related field preferred.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong understanding of agricultural industry, especially equipment and machinery, including knowledge of features, specifications, and applications.

• Highly motivated self-starter. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while providing a quality product in a timely manner.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Job Type:

• Full-time, salary position with base compensation and bonus potential

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, and other hours as needed. Travel required about 5% of the time.
