Product Owner – DMS, Desking & Special Finance (BHPH)
About the Role
Car deals involve a lot of moving parts: desking, F&I, in-house financing, payment processing, title management, and more. This role exists to make sure our solutions keep up — translating dealer needs, business objectives, and market opportunities into product improvements that deliver measurable value.
We're looking for a Product Owner who understands dealership workflows — both traditional retail F&I and the in-house/BHPH side of the business — and can turn dealer pain points into shipped products. You'll work at the intersection of dealer operations, engineering, and strategy to continuously improve dealership workflows across inventory management, desking, financing, F&I, contracting, and reporting.
What You'll Do
- Level up desking: deal structure, financing workflows, payment calculations, trade evaluations, taxes/fees, credit apps, digital contracting.
- Level up BHPH: payment scheduling, collections, delinquency tracking, repo workflows, GPS/payment device integrations, portfolio reporting.
- Own the backlog for our DMS, desking, and BHPH/special finance solutions.
- Recommend enhancements that improve adoption, engagement, and dealer outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to automate workflows or processes with tech and AI.
- Turn dealer feedback into clear user stories and requirements engineering can actually build from.
- Partner with project management, QA, and engineering from planning through release.
- Analyze product performance, feedback, and market trends to inform priorities
- Keep your ear to the ground — talk to dealers, watch the market, and use it all to shape what's next.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Product Manager (5+ a plus).
- Experience with dealership software — DMS, CRM, desking, or F&I tools.
- Real understanding of dealership sales and financing, including in-house/BHPH.
- Comfortable in Agile environments, comfortable writing sharp requirements.
- Strong analytical chops and even stronger communication skills.
- Previous Knowledge: BHPH/special finance background, loan servicing or collections software experience, lender/compliance/tax integrations, digital contracting or eSignature know-how, and any AI-powered workflow automation experience.
