Production Manager | Full-Time | Day Shift

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead production teams, drive operational performance, and support a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing employees, improving processes, and ensuring production goals are achieved.

SCHEDULE Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overtime: Every other Saturday as business demands require.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of assigned production teams, ensuring operational goals related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and employee development are achieved.

This position provides leadership, direction, coaching, and accountability to production personnel while coordinating staffing, scheduling, workflow priorities, training, and continuous improvement efforts.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader who can balance accountability with employee development, effectively solve problems, and drive operational results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership

  • Lead and support production teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching conversations, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and expectations are consistently communicated and followed.
  • Support employee development, training, and cross-training initiatives.
  • Assist with onboarding and development of new team members.

Operations Management

  • Coordinate daily production activities, staffing, scheduling, and workflow priorities.
  • Monitor production schedules and adjust resources as necessary to meet operational demands.
  • Establish priorities and direct production activities to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support operational objectives.
  • Assist with staffing plans, workforce planning, and budget-related activities.

 Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and improve key operational performance metrics.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and root cause investigations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and eliminate waste

 Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve workplace safety and operational effectiveness.

 Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in leadership meetings and planning activities.
  • Support organizational initiatives and business objectives.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

  

Job Requirements

Required
• Bachelor's degree and three to five years of leadership experience in a production, manufacturing, operations, or similar environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading teams and managing employee performance.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience managing schedules, staffing, workflow, and operational priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.

Preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing operational metrics and performance indicators.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience working with ERP or production management systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
• Distinguish and identify colors.
• Ability to work around manufacturing-related odors.
• Ability to move throughout office and production environments.

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position works primarily in an active production environment and requires regular interaction with employees, equipment, and operational processes.
