Production Supervisor
Pay Range: $60,000–$80,000 annually (based on experience)
Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations for trusses, wall panels, and building components. This role ensures production runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Black Tie’s standards for precision manufacturing, automation, and strict quality control.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands manufacturing environments, holds teams accountable, and takes pride in producing engineered components that meet or exceed building code requirements.
Purpose of Position
The Production Supervisor oversees production staff, coordinates workflow between departments, and ensures manufacturing output meets schedule, quality, and safety standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining Black Tie’s reputation for reliable building components manufactured with precision and automation.
Essential Functions
- Supervise daily production of roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, and building components
- Coordinate workflow with design, logistics, and sales teams to meet delivery schedules
- Monitor production output and ensure efficient use of materials and labor
- Maintain strict quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process
- Train, mentor, and lead production employees
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain a clean production environment
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions quickly
- Track production metrics and report performance to leadership
- Ensure products meet engineered specifications and building code requirements
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency

Experience and Education Requirements
- 3–5 years of manufacturing or production leadership experience preferred
- Experience in truss manufacturing, building components, construction materials, or similar industry preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Additional technical training or leadership experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a production environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
- Ability to work in a manufacturing facility environment
Work Expectations
- Full-time position
- In-person at the Hartford, SD facility
