We are seeking a Program Manager – CNP & Nursing Operations to provide leadership, oversight, and support to our CNP and nursing teams. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical and psychiatric services while supporting staff development, strengthening operations, promoting clinical best practices, and helping ensure exceptional client care.

What You'll Do

As the Program Manager – CNP & Nursing Operations, you will provide leadership and oversight for our CNP and nursing teams while helping guide medical protocols, procedures, staff development, and day-to-day operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership, supervision, mentorship, and support to CNP and nursing staff
  • Promoting West River Mental Health's mission, values, philosophy, and commitment to high-quality, person-centered care
  • Supporting staff development through training, coaching, mentoring, and positive role modeling
  • Overseeing staffing and scheduling to help ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of care
  • Evaluating staff performance and providing meaningful coaching, feedback, and support
  • Assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of medical protocols, procedures, and best practices
  • Supporting quality assurance efforts and ensuring compliance with agency policies, professional standards, regulatory requirements, and HIPAA
  • Assisting in evaluating client needs and coordinating appropriate medical and psychiatric care
  • Collaborating with internal teams, community providers, and referral sources to support coordinated, comprehensive care
  • Coordinating and providing training in areas such as CPR, first aid, medication management, and other identified clinical or operational needs
  • Supporting safe medication ordering, administration, documentation, storage, and monitoring practices
  • Responding to clinical and operational needs as they arise and helping ensure continuity of services
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and applicable requirements
  • Performing other related duties in support of the CNP and nursing teams and the overall mission of West River Mental Health

Education & Experience

Candidates must have:

  • A current Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license in the State of South Dakota
  • A minimum of five years of human services experience preferred
  • Psychiatric experience strongly preferred
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
