We are seeking an Assistant Production Manager to join our growing Casework team. ABOUT THE POSITION
Our Project Manager – Casework Division – will be responsible to work closely with production, drafting, sales team and customers to understand timelines, follow up on open items and communicate effectively with all stake holders; internally and externally. Manage project schedules and costs to ensure budgets are inline with projections. This role involves strategic planning, process optimization, and team management to achieve Company goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in casework manufacturing, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader, with a positive attitude who is self-motivated, flexible, and committed to working hard with the Creative Surfaces team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage architectural millwork projects including production, delivery, and installation activities.
Serve as a point of contact for general contractors, architects, sales, and production teams.
Manage project timelines and communicate back to production and operations teams.
Track open items, shop drawings, field measurements, change orders, request dates etc
Perform site visits and measure as required.
Manage punch list, warranty request, and communicate with customer, production, and operations.
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
The role of our Project Manager – Casework Division can be physically demanding and requires candidates to meet the following bona fide requirements:
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, walk upstairs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with arms
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to work in various physical positions, including sitting, standing, bending, crouching, and working at heights.
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
QUALIFICATIONS
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, IMOS, Buildertrend and Procore softwares’
Knowledgeable in AWI, OSHA, LEED standards
Ability to effectively manage relationships with customers, subcontractors, architects, designers, and colleagues.
Highly organized with strong attention to details, multi-tasking is a must
Prior Project Management experience required.
Working knowledge of construction and woodworking industry
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work and communicate well with others.
- Computer literate
- Proficient in Google Suites, Microsoft Word and Excel
