Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager/Estimator to join our team. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for estimating project costs, managing resources, and overseeing the successful execution of construction projects. You will work closely with clients, subcontractors, engineers, and architects to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimating:
Gather proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents to estimate labor, material, and time requirements for commercial construction projects.
Analyze project data and develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
Solicit bids for materials and subcontractors.
- Project Management:
- Coordinate and manage activities of employees, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
- Develop and review project scopes, timelines, and schedules, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Host and lead project meetings with owners, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
- Oversee and manage RFI’s, RFP’s, and change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to clients and management.
- Vendor and Client Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and records.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of project-related paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years in construction project management or estimating, preferably in commercial, industrial, or agricultural projects.
Proven experience managing project timelines, budgets, and teams.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and cost estimation processes.
- Skills:
Strong math and critical thinking abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Bluebeam Revu.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Other Requirements:
Ability to travel as needed for project site visits (company vehicle and lodging provided).
Must be detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and solving problems.
