Join Our Team as a Project Manager

Direct Companies is seeking a Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) in Sioux Falls.

In this role, you’ll lead projects from kickoff through closeout, working with clients, internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to keep work organized, aligned, and moving forward. You’ll take ownership of project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, risks, and client expectations while helping evolve the PMO and strengthen project delivery across Direct Companies.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Sioux Falls, SD.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of professional project management experience, including leading projects through planning, execution, and closeout
• Strong understanding of project scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality
• Ability to coordinate multiple teams, resources, priorities, and project dependencies
• Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience addressing project risks, changes, issues, and escalations
• Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate project status clearly
• Strong organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• A collaborative approach to leadership, accountability, and conflict resolution

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from kickoff through closeout while maintaining accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and overall outcomes
• Develop project plans, milestones, resource schedules, and delivery priorities
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalation activities
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing clear communication and managing expectations throughout delivery
• Coordinate internal teams, vendors, subcontractors, and other project resources
• Manage change orders, scope adjustments, stakeholder approvals, and project governance activities
• Monitor project workloads, resource utilization, subcontractor performance, and delivery commitments
• Coordinate project closeout, managed services handoffs, and client satisfaction reviews
• Support portfolio reporting, resource visibility, and capacity planning within the PMO
• Help evolve the PMO by improving project management tools, templates, processes, reporting practices, and delivery standards
• Identify and recommend improvements that increase consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness across project delivery

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within or alongside a Project Management Office
• Experience using project management or ERP platforms, such as NetSuite, for project planning, tracking, reporting, and resource coordination
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of project team members
• A track record of improving project management processes and delivery practices
