Michels Communications is looking for a part-time Publication Designer to jump in and help bring our magazines, guides, and marketing pieces to life. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in Adobe InDesign, enjoys juggling a variety of creative projects, and can turn content into something visually stunning.
You’ll be working across multiple publications and client projects, designing everything from full magazine layouts to ads and social graphics, all while collaborating with a fun, fast-moving team.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll design editorial layouts that make stories shine, think full magazine spreads, features, and clean, engaging page design. You’ll also create print ads for clients, working closely with our sales team to make sure each ad looks polished, professional, and on-brand. On top of that, you’ll help with digital graphics for social media, marketing campaigns, and promotional pieces when needed.
Deadlines matter here, so you’ll be managing multiple projects at once and keeping things moving without sacrificing quality. You’ll also prep files for print, double-check details, and make sure everything is production-ready.
What we’re looking for:
You have experience in graphic design, ideally 2 or more years, and feel confident working in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign. You understand layout, typography, and how to make information clear, clean, and easy to follow.
You’re organized, detail-oriented, and able to switch between projects without missing a beat. You enjoy collaborating, taking feedback, and making revisions to get things just right.
Bonus points if you’ve worked on magazines, publications, or print projects before.
