We're Hiring a Purchasing Manager for Egger Steel Company in Sioux Falls, SD

Egger Steel Company is a leading fabricator of structural steel for bridge and building projects across the Upper Midwest. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Purchasing Manager to join our team. In this key role, you will oversee all functions related to procurement, inventory management, and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales and project management to determine requirements for raw materials, supplies, equipment, subcontracted work, and other third-party services.
• Solicit competitive pricing and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
• Maintain and update a database of raw material pricing.
• Ensure purchased materials and services meet quality, cost, and schedule standards.
• Record and reconcile received materials with purchase orders and invoices.
• Supervise and coordinate physical inventory counts.
• Support the production department with raw material inspection, storage, scheduling, programming, allocation, cutting, tracking, and usage recording.
• Oversee outbound shipping operations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Proven ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Experience managing teams or direct reports
• Background in supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing preferred
