QC Tech Position

A Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for inspecting rotationally molded products to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements. This position works closely with production, trimming, and shipping teams to identify defects, maintain quality records, and support continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect roto-molded products for defects, damage, and specification compliance
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools and gauges
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
  • Identify and report product or process issues to supervisors and production teams
  • Verify product appearance, fit, finish, and assembly quality
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of products
  • Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards and procedures
  • Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally
  • Maintain clean and organized inspection areas
  • Assist with audits, testing, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Typical day-to-day functions:

  • Review production schedules and inspection priorities
  • Inspect molded products during and after production
  • Measure products and verify specifications
  • Identify cosmetic or structural defects
  • Record inspection findings and complete quality documentation
  • Communicate defects or concerns with production staff and supervisors
  • Verify corrective actions have been completed
  • Conduct final inspections before products move to shipping
  • Maintain organized inspection stations and tools
  • Participate in quality meetings or improvement discussions
  • Assist with training employees on quality expectations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and quality concerns
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous manufacturing or quality control experience preferred
  • Experience in roto molding or plastics manufacturing is a plus
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and quality standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, and reaching
  • Ability to lift up to70 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with heat, noise, and dust
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements preferred
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Reliable transportation

Second shift is M-Th 4pm - 2:30am, overtime as scheduled.

$20/ hour starting DOE
