AGI Hi Roller manufactures a line of premier commercial enclosed, dust-tight and self-reloading conveyors, designed for installation in grain handling facilities, soy and corn processing operations and industrial operations. It specializes exclusively in the design and application of conveyors which will not only contain dust and spilled materials but will also automatically reload that material back on the carrying surface of the belt.

The Opportunity

The Quality Control Technician is responsible to inspect production units in various stages of production to ensure performance with standards and conduct a walk-through inspection of all production areas to verify correct features of units in production. The role is also responsible to complete calibration activities and all required records and reports.

The Team

The role will report to the Production Manager and work with other members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Verify drawings and pedigree, layout drawing, and quote all match each other.
• Create and maintain quality control checklists for each product type and functional department.
• Review warranty and customer feedback data and spearhead root cause analysis and continuous opportunities.
• Communicate defects amongst functional departments. Create quality alerts.
• Implement corrective actions to eliminate repeat defects and rework.
• Lead QC steering committee and meet regularly with other team members to ensure that issues are prioritized and are being resolved with appropriate corrective actions.
• Work with internal customers and external suppliers to resolve quality defects.
• Develop, track, and report pertinent quality metrics.
• Verify all equipment (measurement, torque, etc.) is in working order and calibrated correctly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 3- 5 years of quality control and manufacturing experience required.
• Knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes generally gained with 3+ years of experience.
• MS Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints required.
• Flexibility – Ability to understand different jobs and to have a willingness to be cross-trained.
• Cooperative – Wants to be a team player and do what is best for the company, their department, and peers.
• Initiative – Self-starter; ability to work with minimum supervision; looks for new and better ways to do the job; contributes to the work of the department. Meets or exceeds production requirements daily.
• Quality – Accuracy, thoroughness: attention to detail, completeness of work; adequacy of results. Understands the product requirements of the parts being produced and produces product to specification. 
• Safety Awareness - Ability to carry out assigned duties without injury to self or others; adhere to safety procedures; maintains orderly work area.
• Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend technical topics, prints, and jobs. 
• Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions. Consistently at work on time each and every day.
• 5S Awareness – Understands the facilities 5S guidelines and maintains area daily to meet these.
