Mitchell Technical College (MTC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technology Instructor to join our accredited Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program. This full-time faculty position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled radiologic technologists in a high-demand healthcare field while working in a supportive, student-centered environment.
Position Overview
The Radiologic Technology program at Mitchell Technical College is a 21-month AAS degree that combines comprehensive didactic instruction, hands-on laboratory training, and clinical rotations across a diverse network of healthcare facilities in South Dakota. Students receive training in radiographic positioning, patient care, radiation safety, imaging equipment, pathology, and advanced modalities, preparing them for successful careers as radiologic technologists in hospitals, clinics, and medical offices. Graduates are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification examination.
This position begins August 2026 and plays a critical role in delivering high-quality education that meets JRCERT accreditation standards and industry expectations.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years or 6,000 hours of clinical employment in the Radiologic Technology field.
Bachelor’s degree (or willingness to obtain one).
Current credentials in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Strong technical skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to student success.
Pass a state and federal criminal background check.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans for didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses.
Assess student progress and competency in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program improvement.
Utilize educational technology and learning management systems effectively.
Collaborate with clinical partners to coordinate high-quality student rotations.
Participate in program assessment, accreditation activities, and student advising.
