Lutheran Social Services of South Dakota (LSS) offers Re-Entry Services to help individuals transition from correctional facilities, group homes, or treatment programs back into their communities. These programs are designed to address the unique needs of people re-entering society, with a focus on personal development, rehabilitation, and community integration
HOURS: Full-time, 40hours, Monday- Friday.
SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Re-Entry Coach supports justice-involved individuals transitioning from incarceration back into the community by providing individualized coaching, identifying barriers, and connecting clients to appropriate resources. This role focuses on assessing client needs, coordinating and connecting individuals to appropriate community resources, and delivering ongoing coaching in key areas of re-entry such as housing, employment, and life skills. This role includes developing and supporting case plans, maintaining regular contact with clients and their supervising officers, and facilitating evidence-based programming. The Re-Entry Coach also collaborates with community partners, participates in outreach efforts, and ensures accurate, timely documentation and data tracking in required systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, plus one year experience working in human service environment; or equivalent combination of higher education and experience, is required.
- Preferred experience working with justice involved individuals, trauma informed care and adult case management.
- Must be able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
- Be at least 21 years old and willing to complete agency background checks.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license or obtain one with approved driver status.
- Must successfully complete all agency background checks, which include checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, and drug or sex crimes.
