Job Summary:

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound inventory operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, safety, and compliance across the receiving function. This role provides day-to-day leadership to the Receiving team, ensures proper inventory controls are followed, and partners cross-functionally to support downstream warehouse and fulfillment operations. The Receiving Supervisor is accountable for people leadership, process improvement, and operational execution related to all inbound materials, returns, and warranty items.
Essential Functions:
Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, train, and support Receiving Specialists to ensure accurate and timely processing of all inbound shipments
- Assign daily work, monitor workloads, and ensure staffing coverage aligns with operational needs
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members
- Support onboarding and training of new Receiving team members
Receiving & Inventory Operations
- Oversee the accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of all inbound inventory
- Ensure packing lists are verified against purchase orders and inventory systems
- Ensure inventory is properly labeled, staged, and transferred to correct warehouse locations
- Oversee processing of warranty claims, returns, and return-to-vendor shipments, ensuring proper documentation and routing
- Ensure all inventory systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner
Process, Quality & Compliance
- Enforce all workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies or variances
- Continuously evaluate receiving processes to identify efficiency improvements and error reduction opportunities
- Ensure confidential and time-sensitive materials are handled appropriately
- Partner with Warehouse Leadership, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve inbound issues
Operational Oversight
- Track performance metrics related to receiving accuracy, timeliness, and quality
- Escalate issues related to delays, damages, shortages, or compliance risks
- Assist with audits, cycle counts, and inventory control initiatives as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Excellent attention to detail

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $55,000 - $66,000 DOE. Silencer Central offers a competitive total compensation package that includes:
