The
Reemployment Assistance Claims Specialist will work in a high-volume call center supporting unemployed individuals by gathering information and processing reemployment assistance claims, determining eligibility and accurately documenting claims information. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while providing high-quality customer service and remaining professional and empathetic when dealing with individuals navigating job loss and claim eligibility requirements.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: - high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in customer service
- ability to quickly learn processes and procedures
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- attention to detail and strong analytical skills while navigating multiple databases
- ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- proficiency with computers and data entry systems
Knowledge of: - business English and grammar, spelling, and punctuation

- conflict resolution
Ability to: - review, process, and adjudicate reemployment assistance claims in accordance with applicable laws and policies
- conduct interviews with claimants and employers to gather necessary information
- determine eligibility for benefits based on wages, separation circumstances, and legal guidelines
- maintain accurate and detailed case records in database systems
- respond to claimant inquiries via phone and email
- explain benefit eligibility and responsibilities
- identify potential fraud or discrepancies
- refer claimants to job training, workforce programs, and employment opportunities
- collaborate with workforce agencies and employers to support reemployment efforts
- stay up to date on changing regulations and policies
