Ophthalmology Ltd. Eye Surgery Center is currently accepting applications for a full-time, Registered Nurse to assist in the preoperative process including h&p review, preoperative phone calls and ensuring patient and facility preparation prior to arrival, yag laser, and other functions as needed for our fast-paced eye surgery center. We're looking for a registered nurse who has a strong desire or experience working in multiple areas such as pre-admissions, pre/post, circulating, and discharge, eye experience is helpful but not a requirement.
Our "eye only" ambulatory surgery center hosts the region's most experienced, comprehensive ophthalmic surgery and subspecialty surgeons.
Job duties include providing support to patients before eye surgery, maintaining current knowledge of technique and execution from the time a patient is scheduled for surgery through their discharge. Various experiences in admissions, pre-op, surgery, and post-operative care, including providing direct and indirect care and support to patients, prioritizing large volumes of phone calls, operating the YAG Laser, and assisting with other functions for the surgery center. This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. The hours for this position will vary between Monday-Fridays. No overnight or weekend shifts. No holidays, no call.
The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, surgery center staff, physicians, and the public.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a high-volume surgery center and the candidate must be professional and able to stay on task while providing quality patient care.
