Companies is headquartered in Sioux Falls, SD with a satellite office in the Des Moines metro.
We are currently seeking a Residential Architectural Designer / Draftsperson to join our team
of professionals in our Sioux Falls, SD. This position will be responsible for producing
construction drawings to support our Architecture team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create construction drawings for Signature’s residential projects, including entry
level, move-up, and luxury custom homes
• Work closely with our Residential Project Manager and Sales Team, as well as the CEO to
ensure design intent is met
• Research applicable codes and ordinances for assigned projects
• Prepare documents for permit submittal. Work with city required revisions for permit
• Assist with construction administration duties such as requests for information and
submittals
• Occasional site visits to check on progress and accuracy related to the scope of work
contracted
• Occasional site visits for due diligence documentation of as-built conditions
• Maintain and continuously improve the company’s library of house plans
• Bring creativity and fresh thinking to plan design by proactively developing new floor
plan concepts, elevations, and layout solutions that improve livability, functionality,
and market appeal
• Balance creativity with practicality by ensuring all new ideas align with budget
targets, structural feasibility, and construction efficiency
• Meet with home buyers to discuss modifications to semi-custom and custom
projects
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working in Architecture and/or Interior Design Firm, or
building/construction related field
• Extensive knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD Software. Autodesk Revit knowledge a plus
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills
• Ability to work successfully independently as well as in a team environment
• Experience specializing in single family
• Experience with luxury and custom homes is a plus
• 3D exterior and interior rendering experience is a plus
