Position Overview

The South Dakota Retirement System seeks a skilled, customer-focused professional to join our Member Services team. This full-time role provides comprehensive retirement planning support, including:
  • conducting workshops and seminars;
  • offering individual counseling sessions;
  • assisting with benefit initiation activities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • bachelor's degree;
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • knowledge of retirement plans and related terminology.

  • strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • ability to present to groups and individuals;
  • attention to detail and tactful interpersonal skills;
  • analytical ability to calculate benefits and interpret complex issues.

This position is exempt from the Civil Service Act.
This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
