In this dynamic position, you’ll take charge of inventory management, equipment maintenance, delivery logistics, and custom fabrication, all while keeping the workspace organized and efficient. Whether you’re troubleshooting damaged products, assisting with fittings, coordinating shipments, or delivering equipment to patients and facilities, your work will play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly. Some tasks the RISE Technician will complete include, but are not limited to:
- Assembles and modifies equipment, such as, wheelchairs, standers, and walkers
- Repairs and maintains all DME equipment ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with standards
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team (therapists, clinicians, and support staff) to ensure equipment meets patient needs
- Provides patient care support by assisting with equipment repairs and fittings
- Maintains inventory control
- Assists with custom fabrication and welding
- Orders equipment and supplies
- Receives shipments
- Maintains the tracking and receiving functions of the department
- Completes and maintains proper paperwork for assessments, fittings, and repairs
- Troubleshoots products that are incorrect or damaged upon delivery
- Cleans and maintains fab shop, shelving, and carts
- Organizes and maintains the storeroom, ensuring that it is free from hazards
- Plans structure and space in the storeroom for new or discontinued products
- Ships products for all departments as necessary
- Assists in the setup of equipment
- Picks up and delivers patient and company equipment and other products
